Broadcom's new solution uses a two-chip design that combines the BCM3308 with the BCM7584 to successfully meet this need. The BCM7584 is the first low-cost, high-definition digital cable set-top box SoC that integrates full-band capture technology and IP video service technology. Broadcom's groundbreaking full-band capture technology enables four modems on the BCM7584 to simultaneously access broadcast video and tuned DOCSIS with full-band flexibility and bandwidths up to 1 GHz.
