The difference between pressure gauges and pressure transmitters

The principle of the pressure gauge is to use the internal expansion tube to sense the pressure while driving the gear mechanism to make the pointer rotate to the effect of displaying the pressure value. The advantages of the pressure gauge are: simple structure, convenient use, intuitive display, and can be arbitrarily installed in various pipelines; the disadvantage of the pressure gauge is that the measurement accuracy is not high.

Pressure transmitter is the use of electronic sensing elements to convert the pressure signal into a standard analog signal or digital signal, with a relatively high accuracy, can be easily collected or transmitted to the instrument, computer systems, PLC and so on. When using a pressure transmitter, it needs to be powered and equipped with display instruments or signal acquisition equipment.

The difference between pressure gauges and pressure transmitters is:

1. The pressure gauge is generally directly installed in the pipeline, directly read the pressure of the pipeline

2. Pressure transmitters are generally used in industrial automation. Installed where pressure is required to be read, it may be a pipe or a storage tank. The gas, liquid, wet soil and other pressure signals are converted into current or voltage signals. These current or voltage preferences are provided to recorders, regulators, and alarms. Instruments and other instruments to achieve measurement, recording and regulation.
