Taipei, January 3, 2017 – Advantech, a leader in embedded computing and smart applications, is pleased to announce the launch of an industrial-grade ultra-thin fanless Mini-ITX motherboard: AIMB-216. This product is powered by Intel® PenTIum® and Celeron® N3710/N3160/N3010 series processors and is bundled with Advantech's own WISE-PaaS/RMM software suite for remote management and security features required for IoT and embedded applications. The AIMB-216 uses the latest Intel 14nm technology to significantly reduce CPU and graphics performance while reducing power consumption (CPU TDP is only 4~6W), thus becoming a tablet, digital signage player, ATM/KIOSK, gaming, medical and transportation. Rich I/O connectivity in ultra-thin fanless design for flexible embedded applications

The AIMB-216 ultra-thin Mini-ITX motherboard features a fanless and half-height I/O design that boosts performance while reducing power consumption. The product is highly connected with a rich set of high-speed I/O interfaces including: dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, 4 x USB 3.0, 2 x USB 2.0, 2 x SATAIII. In terms of scalability, the AIMB-216 offers 1 x PCIex1, 1 x M.2 (B key) and 1 x full-length MiniPCIe (supporting PCIe and USB signals), thus providing flexible support for modular expansion card installation. Its 6 COM ports (COM 3 supports RS-232/422/485 automatic flow control, COM 6 is 5V/12V live) allows users to connect devices without additional external power supply and achieve reliable long-distance data transmission. As the first low-power Mini-ITX motherboard to support the H.265 HW decoder, the AIMB-216 has outstanding graphics and media processing capabilities and supports DirectX11, OpenCL1.2 and OpenGL4.2.
