Deepen vertical cooperation and open up terminal channels

1. The leaders of G20-LED member companies held the third meeting of the first G20-LED Summit in Hangzhou Yangminggu Hotel on May 17, 2012.

2. Since the G20-LED second meeting in Shenzhen, all member companies have actively cooperated with the work of the G20-LED product specification working group, and completed the “First Edition G20-LED Product Specification Draft” in the original planned time, including Bulbs, straight tube lamps, downlights and spotlights. At this meeting, member companies discussed the specifications, and everyone agreed:

Before the next G20-LED meeting, each group will arrange the time and place of the technical chief or product director of each member company to discuss and determine the details of the first version of the G20-LED product specification;

Each group submitted the "First Edition G20-LED Product Specification Final Review" by August 10, 2012;

The first edition of the G20-LED Product Specification will be released at the first meeting of the second G20-LED Summit.

3, member companies unanimously stated that the G20-LED product specification was introduced to make LED lamps complete and acceptable to consumers. In the next step, we will develop luminaires that meet the G20-LED product specifications through in-depth cooperation between the upper, middle and lower reaches, and exceed the requirements of common products on the market in terms of core indicators.

4. At present, all domestic standards, norms or certifications have no concept for consumer terminals. The member companies agreed that the G20-LED product specification actually integrates high-quality concepts into product promotion from the market perspective and promotes product sales.

In the follow-up, we will promote the G20-LED product specification through the national channel and terminal market tour. At the same time, we will sell luminaire samples that meet G20-LED product specifications through various invisible and explicit channels.

The G20-LED product specification will be divided into three levels, corresponding to the corresponding product packaging logo and different applications. Based on this, we provide engineering channels and designers with reference to individualized and high-quality product indicators that meet the needs of different applications.

5. Member companies have unanimously stated that the G20-LED product specification is not intended to set its own standards, and we have never wanted to set standards. We are committed to developing product-level indicators that meet market needs and are more competitive in the G20-LED framework.

6. Member companies unanimously agreed to set up a technical committee before the next G20-LED summit, with the participation of CTOs of member companies. At the same time, the G20-LED Summit Authorized Technical Committee will carry out subsequent revision and update of the G20-LED product specification.

7. There are three main levels of upstream and downstream industry chain cooperation: first, market strategic procurement; second, technical patent cooperation and mutual authorization of results; third, strategic support formed by capital ties.

Through the framework of the G20-LED Summit, each member company (both parties or parties) can voluntarily try a series of in-depth cooperation, make full use of their respective superior resources, strengthen the synergy between the upstream, middle and lower reaches, and jointly explore new ones. Market growth point.

At the same time, cooperation and use to accelerate the application and promotion of G20-LED lighting specifications, making member companies occupy a favorable position in the fierce market competition in the future.

Member companies agree:

• Strengthen internal communication at the three levels of upstream and downstream strategic procurement, technical cooperation and authorization sharing, and capital cooperation, and promote a series of cooperation among member companies before the next G20-LED summit.

8. Future lighting application market competition is no longer a point-to-point competition between products and products. Competition between upstream and downstream supply chain resources will become the key.

From substrate, epitaxy, chip, light source, lighting to brand marketing, channel management, to logistics and distribution, and after-sales management of retail terminals, LED enterprises must enter the channel competition of traditional lighting enterprises through innovative business and channel models. And out.

At the same time, the operational thinking of channel innovation runs through the vertical cooperation of upstream and downstream enterprises in the industrial chain, and also achieves horizontal cooperation with affiliated enterprises. This will help LED downstream application companies reduce costs, reduce uncertainty in upstream supply, respond quickly to market demands, and improve supply chain transparency and agility.

Member companies explore the following two channel cooperation frameworks:

• The G20-LED Summit member companies will form a brand store together, and everyone will sell together in the same channel. Unified sales and service standards to improve channel sales and service quality.
• The high-tech LED online store will open a G20 brand zone for member companies and build a network channel platform.
• Member companies work together to create a brand identity that complies with the G20-LED product specification. In the future, LED luminaires with this logo on the outer packaging mean that the materials, chips and light sources represent the standard of high-quality LED lighting products.
• Member companies share brand identity and promote market promotion of brand identity. In the end, lighting designers and end consumers consider the brand identity as an important indicator for selecting lamps when considering LED lighting products.
Member companies agree:
• Develop a channel cooperation plan before the next G20-LED summit and discuss the specific implementation rules.

9. This meeting has supplemented member companies. New Huacan Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., Qinshang Optoelectronics Co., Ltd., Shanxi Guangyu Lighting and Northern Microelectronics were added.

At the same time, the three member companies officially withdrew from the summit due to their inability to implement the obligations set out in the G20-LED Summit Charter. They are VEECO, SAMSUNG LED and Shenghui Lighting.

10. We reiterate that all actions initiated by members of the G20-LED Summit are limited to the voluntary actions of member companies. We hope that this form of cooperation can help set an example for the industry and actively communicate with companies outside the members.

11. We agree to actively implement the intention of the cooperation plan determined by this meeting before the next G20-LED summit, and continue to take active measures to further strengthen the cooperation between the middle and lower reaches of the industry chain.
