According to Chen Feng, vice president of Rockchip, XMM6321 is a WCDMA standard SOC solution that supports Unicom 3G and GSM dual-card dual standby, integrating WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and PMU components. The entire solution uses only two chipsets and is the most integrated 3G SOC solution in the world. This not only reduces costs, but also ensures the rapid availability of end products. The baseband part uses Intel/Infineon chips, which has the advantages of low power consumption, strong stability, and wide coverage.

Chen Feng said that China's 4G development is very fast, but 3G, especially WCDMA, still has a broad market in the world. To MediaTek, most shipments this year are 3G chip solutions. "This year, global smartphone shipments are expected to reach 1.2 billion units, and will exceed 2 billion units in the future. The market space is very large and Rockchip has opportunities."
