Jiangsu Power Grid launches the first orderly electricity plan this winter

The 4th was the first working day of the New Year. Due to the combination of lower temperatures and post-holiday restoration, the province’s electricity demand exceeded 64 million kilowatts, a record high this winter. Constrained by the overhaul of some coal-fired units, the lack of seasonal output of new energy generators such as wind power photovoltaics, and the shortage of gas supply units, there is a certain gap in the province's electricity load. On that day, the provincial power company launched its first orderly electricity use plan since this winter, arranging nearly 500 metallurgical, iron and steel, and cement companies in the province to participate in the peak shift, with a peak load capacity of 2.576 million kilowatts. At the same time, the provincial power company urgently purchased 7.7 million kilowatts of electricity from outside the province, an increase of 1.6 million kilowatts from the end of last year.
