Distributed photovoltaic development 3.0 era has come

On July 18th, the "Roof Top Power Generation (Hebei) Lecture Hall," hosted by the Crystal Special Committee of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, was held in Shijiazhuang. This event marked a significant milestone as it highlighted the arrival of the distributed photovoltaics 3.0 era. The introduction of 300W module products into the distributed sector signals the dawn of this new age. High-efficiency and high-quality components, like those at 300W, are set to become the top choice for the distributed market moving forward. Li Zhenguo, President of Longji Co., Ltd., emphasized the importance of eliminating low-quality and low-efficiency products in the distributed field. He remarked, "In the future, we aim to collaborate with industry peers to introduce premium products such as 300W modules into the distributed terminal market, ensuring balanced economic and social benefits." The development of distributed photovoltaics has seen China's PV industry rise from challenges to global leadership. Over recent years, China's photovoltaic industry has undergone numerous trials and triumphs. Today, China accounts for 70% of global PV manufacturing needs, and its installed capacity leads globally. By the end of 2016, China’s photovoltaic power generation capacity reached 77.42 million kilowatts, with new installations totaling 34.54 million kilowatts, the highest in the world. In 2016, distributed photovoltaic installations saw a dramatic surge, reaching 4.24 million kilowatts, a 200% increase from 2015. Recent data suggests that by June 2017, China's photovoltaic power generation capacity is projected to reach 24 million kilowatts, with distributed photovoltaics contributing approximately 7 million kilowatts, nearly triple the figure for the same period in 2016. Shi Limin, Executive Deputy Secretary-General of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce’s New Energy Chamber of Commerce and Secretary-General of Jingjing Silicon, believes that a new era of large-scale distributed photovoltaic development is imminent. While distributed photovoltaics are experiencing rapid growth, there are still issues of non-compliance and poor-quality products affecting the market. These issues hinder power generation efficiency and harm consumer interests. Li Zhenguo pointed out that the construction of China's photovoltaic power plants has faced significant market distortions. Low-quality modules have flooded the market, pushing high-quality products to export markets. In rural areas, many homeowners lack professional assessment skills, and the pursuit of lower prices has opened doors for inferior products. This has resulted in numerous power stations facing severe quality issues, leading to decreased power generation performance, a deteriorated financing environment, and tarnished industry reputation. Li Zhenguo stressed that ensuring only high-quality products reach consumers is the底线for photovoltaic manufacturers. Companies must prioritize providing superior products to the public, fulfilling their social responsibilities. Distributed photovoltaics serve as a key industry card to the public and must be treated with utmost care. To promote the healthy growth of the distributed photovoltaic industry and protect consumer rights, the Crystalline Special Committee of the New Industry Association of the All-China Federation of Industry and Commerce released a proposal advocating for high-quality products in the distributed field. The proposal emphasizes enhancing environmental awareness, encouraging technological innovation, strengthening corporate responsibility, focusing on customer needs, and maintaining industry order. Professor Shen Hui of Sun Yat-sen University noted that excellence in photovoltaics is paramount, especially for distributed systems. High-efficiency, high-quality products are essential for sustainable market growth. Under national policy guidance and industry innovation, these products are gaining recognition. Over the past two years, component power has risen from 260W to 300W, marking a revolutionary step. Li Zhenguo highlighted that the mass production of 300W modules signifies a new era in solar energy utilization. Distributed photovoltaics in China have evolved through three stages: the extensive 1.0 era, the policy-driven 2.0 era, and now the 3.0 era defined by high-efficiency components. The 300W component represents the pinnacle of current technology and quality. Wang Yingge, Assistant Chairman and Marketing Director of Longji Leye, sees the 3.0 era as one where distributed markets dominate half the nation. It is a time of rapid technological advancement and economic and social benefit optimization. For instance, with a 300W module, the same roof space can generate 650 million kWh more annually compared to the 1.0 era. In conclusion, the shift to high-efficiency, high-quality products is inevitable, promising a brighter future for the distributed photovoltaic market.
