Samsung’s Art Meets Technology in Their New Wall Art TV For 11 consecutive years, Samsung has topped the charts as the world’s leading TV seller, and this year’s IFA was no exception. Samsung’s pavilion was easily the largest and most comprehensive, showcasing everything from QLED Quantum TVs to their groundbreaking Art Wall TV. Designed in collaboration with renowned Swiss designer Yves Behar, the Art Wall TV blends artistic flair with cutting-edge tech. When powered on, it’s a stunning 4K UHD TV; when off, it transforms into a customizable piece of art, seamlessly integrating into any home décor. The Art Wall TV features a built-in brightness sensor that adjusts the screen’s brightness based on ambient light, ensuring it fits flawlessly into any setting. A dynamic motion sensor detects activity in the room, switching between two modes. The easel-style stand and art-inspired base elevate the aesthetic appeal, while the "thin-curtain line" cable-free design maintains a sleek, clutter-free look. As a pioneer in the global market, Hisense has consistently made waves at IFA for over a decade. This year, Hisense unveiled its expansive ULED lineup, including the 9-series, 8-series, 7-series, and 6-series, each designed for the global market. The 7-series saw a refreshed 7700 series, becoming one of the highlights of the show. ULED represents Hisense’s proprietary technology, combining multi-zone backlight control and fine dimming to enhance LCD performance. The 9-series flagship model boasts up to 1,000 backlight zones, allowing for precise dimming adjustments that deliver unparalleled depth and clarity. Hisense’s 7-series ULED NU7700 series also made a strong debut, with a borderless panoramic design and premium materials like Cartier silver sandstone metal, giving the TV a luxurious feel. Sharp Shakes Up IFA with Groundbreaking 8K Technology As a titan in the TV industry, Sharp stole the show this year with its array of 8K innovations. Besides the 120-inch 4K giant and the 13K multi-screen display, Sharp introduced several world-firsts, including the world’s first curved LCD and a series of 8K TVs. These products underscore Sharp’s dominance in the 8K landscape. Leading up to IFA, Sharp had already unveiled the world’s first 8K TV in Shanghai. The booth showcased an 8K TV embedded in the wall, boasting an incredible 7680×4320 resolution, delivering crystal-clear visuals far surpassing any 4K competitor. Even with the naked eye, the screen looked smooth and lifelike, offering a truly immersive experience. In addition, Sharp highlighted a host of new LCD TVs, such as the world’s first 85-inch 8K IGZO LCD TV, the world’s first 70-inch ultra-narrow bezel TV, and the world’s first 8K HDR 27-inch display. These innovations reaffirm Sharp’s status as a leader in the global TV industry. At TCL’s booth, the 85-inch X6 XESS took center stage, its massive screen size commanding attention. As the latest addition to the XESS series, the X6 features primary color dot display technology and a Harman Kardon 7.1.4 premium audio system. The X6 is a powerhouse in both visual and auditory experiences, matching the quality of a private cinema. As part of the quantum dot camp, the X6 XESS has undergone numerous technological upgrades. Equipped with the latest generation of primary color quantum dot materials, the X6 delivers a high color gamut, vivid colors, and exceptional purity, ensuring a vibrant viewing experience. The X6 uses Local Dimming 600-partition Galaxy multi-zone backlight technology, achieving a contrast ratio of 12 million:1. It also features TCL’s exclusive Q-engine, which includes advanced color control, high-brightness fine-tuning, and intelligent local dimming. In terms of design, the X6 draws inspiration from modern high-end furniture and luxury cars, featuring a glossy walnut finish and bronze-metal accents that blend natural textures and metallic sheen. The unique forged gold wood base or lightweight stand ensures harmony with any home environment. For sound quality, the X6 XESS private cinema employs Dolby Atmos®, DTS:X sound technology, and a Harman Kardon 7.1.4 sound system, the world’s first TV with 12 channels. This setup can also function as a standalone speaker, supporting online and USB playback, Bluetooth connectivity, and night mode functionality. Skyworth’s 100-Inch G9 Canopy TV: A Giant Among Giants Displaying detailed images on a 100-inch screen is no small feat, but the Skyworth 100G9 supports the highest HDR standards, ensuring vibrant colors, high brightness, and excellent contrast ratios. Combined with the JBL audio system, the 100G9 offers a cinematic experience that rivals private theaters. Skyworth’s flagship model also excels in sound quality. The JBL full-range audio system captures intricate highs and deep bass, while the rear-mounted JBL subwoofer creates a rich, immersive experience that complements the massive screen beautifully.
