Seoul will increase the efficacy of white LEDs by 50%

South Korea's Seoul Semiconductor has developed a new product with a luminous flux of 200 lm at 3.3 W in the AC-powered white LED "Acriche" series. The luminous efficiency is about 60 lm/W, which is about 50% higher than the first generation product that was launched in November 2006. In terms of price, due to the expansion of production capacity and the improvement of the yield, the supply price is 40% cheaper than the original.

Seoul Semiconductor will continue to improve Acriche's luminous efficiency and luminous flux in the future. In the fourth quarter of 2007, the luminous efficiency will be increased to 80 lm/W and the luminous flux will be increased to 250 lm, which will increase to 120 lm/W and 400 lm in the fourth quarter of 2008.
